Seattle - Washington Employers Trust, a benefit plan that offers healthcare coverage to more than 250 individual employers in the state, recently awarded Qualis Health a contract to provide utilization management, case management, and specialty review services.
The nonprofit healthcare quality improvement organization was awarded the contract to ensure that the nearly 12,000 employees and dependents in the Washington Employers Trust network receive quality, efficient healthcare services. The Trust, founded in 1951, provides affordable health benefit coverage to many local employers.
Quality, cost, and breadth of services were factors Washington Employers Trust (www.washingtonemployerstrust.com) considered crucial in selecting Qualis Health to provide care management services.
“As a self-funded health plan, Washington Employers Trust is in the business of providing high quality, cost-effective healthcare to our employers and their employees,” said Jackie Oswald, director of Benefit Operations. “It was also critical in selecting a care management organization that was able to meet all of our needs. Qualis Health gives us flexibility in tailoring programs that fit with the benefits plans we offer to our members.”
Accredited by URAC in health utilization management, case management, and independent review, Qualis Health has consistently demonstrated high quality in the delivery of all care management services. Qualis Health has served other multiple employer Trusts since 1986. The organization has held contracts with Medicaid agencies for more than 26 years and also works with other diverse populations including Medicare, workers compensation, and health insurance.
“Qualis Health has a broad suite of products in case management, utilization management, and specialty review services,” said Marci Weis, RN, MPH, CCM, vice president of Care Management at Qualis Health. “We believe that Washington Employers Trust will find our services beneficial in managing healthcare costs, improving clinical outcomes, and delivering continued value to customers.”
